Are you insured? What if you make a serious mistake?

Yes, we are insured for up to £10 million, including for professional negligence. We make substantial efforts to prevent mistakes from happening throughout our entire workflow.

We will work to resolve any mistakes quickly and effectively, we aim to be approachable and not hidden behind a corporate wall.

How long does it take to build software?

This really depends on the complexity of what we are building. We aim to deliver your software as promptly as possible without compromising the quality. If you are working to a specific time scale, please let us know at the first consultation so that we can accommodate for this. An estimated completion date will be given with the quote.

What if I'm not happy with the end product?

We want you to love the software we build you. We provide detailed quotes before beginning your project to ensure we are all on the same page before work begins. If for any reason you aren't happy with what we deliver, we are happy to make amendments.

What if I change my mind about what I want after work begins?

Our goal is to provide software that you love, so we are happy to change a specification after beginning a project. In this case, we will have another meeting with you to discuss your requirements and provide you with a new quote. Please be aware that the price quoted and delivery date may change, if the changes you make require extra work.

Can I add more features in the future?

Yes. We build all our software so that it is expandable, should you wish to add more features in the future.

Will I own the software?

Once you have paid in full, you will own the software to use for you and your business, but do not own reselling rights. If you want to resell the software we build, you must make this clear at the time of consultation. We retain the right to use the software we build for our portfolio.

Are there recurring fees for hosting the app?

Yes, there is a small monthly fee for hosting your app.

Do you build websites as well as apps?

Yes, we also build websites.

Which payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major forms of payment, including:

  • Bank transfer
  • Credit/debit card (Visa, Mastercard and American Express)
  • PayPal
  • Cheque (made payable to Grizzlyware Ltd)
  • Cash

We use Stripe to process our credit/debit card transactions. Your statement will show transactions paid to Grizzlyware Ltd.

Are your prices exclusive of VAT?

Yes, all prices listed on our website are exclusive of VAT, which is currently charged at 20% in the UK.

Do I have to pay VAT?

VAT is applicable to all UK and EU businesses and consumers. EU customers will be charged their local rate of VAT in their member state as we only provide digital services.

  • Businesses inside the EU and outside of the UK with a valid VAT number will not have to pay VAT
  • Businesses and consumers outside of the UK and EU do not have to pay VAT
Do you offer charity discounts?

We've worked with various charities over the years, each is assessed on a case by case basis to see what we can best offer. Please get in touch with your requirements and we'll see how we can help.

Do you have fixed prices for development?

Due to the highly individual nature of development work, we price all our projects based on consultation. A detailed quote will be provided with a breakdown of the costs before any money is exchanged.

How do you price a project?

No two projects are the same, and it's often the parts which seem simple and straight forward which require additional planning and development time. The following factors are taken into account:

  • Potential of project scope creep
  • How detailed the project brief is
  • If the project is completely bespoke, or we can use components we've previously created
  • How quickly you need it to be completed or to reach MVP (minimal viable product)
  • Many more based on our previous experiences with similar projects
Can I pay in stages?

Yes, we offer a few ways to stagger payment of projects, including:

  • We can split larger projects into multiple smaller ones, treating them as standalone
  • Stagger payment into stages, usually one per month
