We build the AI tool you can't buy.
Real software, with AI inside it.
We're software developers first. AI is one more thing we can build with, and we use it where it's the right tool for the job.
Start with your niche
The work worth building for is the work nobody sells a product for - the processes specific to your trade, your rules, your customers. We start there, then shape the tool around how you actually operate.
Real software, not a prompt
We build proper applications with permissions, audit trails, and checks that catch AI mistakes before they reach your team or your customers - the same standards as any custom software we write.
Yours to keep
The tool is yours, and so is the data behind it. We avoid lock-in to any one AI provider, so if a model gets better, cheaper or disappears, we can swap it out underneath you.
Tools that don't come in a box.
These are the kinds of jobs we get asked to build for. Yours will look different, because it will be built around your business.
Reading your paperwork
Supplier invoices, spec sheets, site reports, delivery notes - pulled apart and turned into structured data in your systems, in your format, without anyone re-typing it.
Quoting on your rules
A tool that reads an enquiry, applies your actual pricing, materials and margins, and produces a draft quote, ready for your team to tweak as necessary.
Triage in your language
Incoming work sorted by your categories and your urgency rules - not a generic sentiment score - and routed to the right person with the right context attached.
Matching and scheduling
Allocating jobs, staff or stock against your unique constraints - qualifications, geography, contract terms - where a generic calendar tool has no idea what matters.
Checking your own data
Spotting the records that look wrong before they cause a problem downstream - mispriced lines, missing compliance details, duplicates a straight database check would miss.
Searching your archive
Answers pulled out of years of your own contracts, drawings, tickets or case notes, with a link straight back to the source document so it can be checked.
Want AI your team can simply talk to instead? That's a custom GPT or AI assistant.
We'll tell you when not to build.
Building isn't always the right answer, and we're not going to pretend it is. Here's how we decide.
Buy it, when the job is ordinary
Plenty of jobs are the same in every business - scheduling, bookkeeping, inbox admin. Somebody already sells a good tool for those, and a subscription will make more financial sense than commissioning something bespoke. Connecting a few apps so data stops being re-typed is much the same: honest plumbing, quick to set up, easy to change.
That's our task-specific AI tools and AI automation work - and we'll happily point you there instead.
Build it, when the job is yours
The moment the job depends on your rules, your data or the idiosyncrasies of your industry, off-the-shelf starts costing you more than it saves - workarounds, spreadsheets on the side, and a subscription you resent paying for. A chain of automations bridging the gap becomes a fragile and confusing system.
In this case, a bespoke tool will be cheaper, and less annoying, over time.
Small, proven, then properly built.
You find out whether it works on your real data before committing to a full build.
Find the job
We look at where the time actually goes, and pick the jobs that are specific enough to be worth building for - and check nothing off the shelf already does them.
Prove it small
We test the idea against your real documents and records first, so you can see how accurate it is before committing to a full build.
Build it properly
Then it becomes real software - built into your systems, with permissions, records of what it did, and a sensible path for a human when it isn't sure.
Run and improve
We watch how it performs on live work, tighten the parts that need it, and move it onto better models as they arrive.
Common questions about bespoke AI.
What's a bespoke AI tool?
Software we build for you, where AI does part of the work - reading documents, sorting information, drafting something from your own data. It's shaped around the way your business works, rather than being a general tool you have to bend into shape.
How is this different from automating things with Zapier?
Zapier and Make are good at passing information between apps you already have. They're not a place to put your business's logic. Once a job needs your own rules, your own data and a proper interface for your team, you've outgrown the plumbing and want something built.
Isn't building more expensive than buying a subscription?
Up front, usually yes. Over a few years, often not - especially once you count the workarounds, the spreadsheets alongside the system, and the time your team spends compensating for a tool that nearly fits. If buying is genuinely the better answer, we'll say so.
What if the AI gets something wrong?
We assume it will, sometimes. So we design for it: the tool shows its working, flags anything it's unsure about for a human, and keeps a record of what it did. For anything consequential, a person stays in the loop by design.
Do you use our data to train AI models?
No. We build on business-grade services and settings where your data isn't used for training, and we only send a model what it needs to do the job. Once personal data is involved you're responsible for it under UK GDPR, so we set things up with that in mind.
Which AI models do you build on?
Whichever suits the job - and we build so it can be changed. Models improve and prices shift constantly, so tying your tool to one provider is a bad idea. That's a decision we make for you and revisit as things move.
Can it work with the systems we already have?
Usually, yes. Most bespoke tools need to read from or write to something you already run, which is ordinary system integration work for us.
How long does it take?
We aim to have something you can test on real data within a few weeks, so you get an honest read on whether it works before the full build. We'll give you a clear timeframe up front.
Got a job nothing off the shelf will do?
Tell us the job. We'll tell you honestly whether it's worth building, or whether something you can buy will do it for a fraction of the price. Bespoke AI tools sit alongside our managed AI service.
